LIT Amantes 2013 is all set to be held on the 25th of February, a host of events given below will be held.
For all the ‘Literature Lovers’ as the name suggests keep the dates free to treat yourself with literary delight.

Details of each event
1. Panel Discussion on Children’s Literature
As part of the fest we are organizing a panel discussion on Children’s
Literature, tentatively titled: *”Contemporary contexts of reading,
translating and publishing Children’s Literature in India”.*

In DU, there is an optional course on “popular fiction” in which some
students read and study Lewis Carroll’s *Through the Looking-Glass. *The
aim of this event is to help them broaden their understanding and give them
a nuanced idea of the field, and challenges involved in writing and
publishing children’s literature today in India. The panelists will address
the various uses and means of reading children’s literature today, its
relevance and its contemporary contexts.

Then here is your ultimate challenge – INK-ED – the creative writing competition. Come and show us that a ‘pen is mightier than a sword’..!!
3.SPELL-A-NAZI (Spelling competition)
Now that instant messaging has changed not only the lingo but spellings of ‘wrds’ too, Spell-a-Nazi is here to give a tough recapitulation of all that was taught in school but much severe.

4.BATTLE OF HOGWARTS (Harry Potter Quiz)
Do you consider yourself to be the biggest Harry Potter fan?? Have you been on Harry’s side until the very end?? Then here is the time to prove your loyalty. Come and take part in the Battle of Hogwarts, a quiz competition – at the end of which lies your chance of winning the House cup..!!

3. Four teams will be shortlisted for the final round on the basis of the first round.
5.AD-Q
Be it the forbidden fruits of ‘Goblin Market’ or the fruit of knowledge everything sells, if only you have what it takes to sell. Contrive catchy jingles and tempting slogans to attract your purchasers. Make your product sell by your convincing advertisements and jingle all the way!!

6.PICA-SKETCH (Pictionary)
If a Picasso has been brooding inside you all the while and quick wits are your style then try your skills at pic-a-sketch..!! Combine your sharp wits with your talent and play the game of Pictionary and grab away exciting prizes..!!
